For entrepreneurs, thinking positive can be a struggle and something very hard to do. Depending on the relationships that you have, you can be told that you are taking too big of a risk, you won’t make it, or you are wasting your time.
You are a Badass is written by Jen Sincero. Being someone that loves to read, I am constantly looking for a book to help me. I enjoyed this book for one main reason, it shows you how you got to your present mindset and then helps you to get out of it.
How You Got There
Our subconscious mind, in many ways, is in control of our lives. Slow down, take inventory of yourself and your environment. Be in the moment. Remember your past..it is how you got where you are but don’t live in it. Don’t compare yourself to others. They haven’t taken the journey you have. They haven’t walked in your shoes.
In order to think positive, you need to be appreciative of yourself. Surround yourself with people who want to build you up, not break you down. Don’t be afraid to say ‘No’ to things you don’t like. Say ‘Yes’ more often to things you love to do.
Make sure you know who you are . When you know yourself, you are now able to take a grain of salt when someone speaks about you. Their analysis may be from the moment, not from your journey. Listen to them but don’t take everything to heart.
Take It Back
Take back your brain. Use various meditation techniques to clear you mind and fill it with positive thoughts. Don’t be scared to think about who you want to be. Be that person right now. Once you start acting like that person, you will become that person.
Don’t allow past events to fester in your mind. Deal with them and put them away. The time that you spend to think about them is time you can’t get back. Use that time for your future self.
Being of the right mindset is critical for any entrepreneur. People depend on us to make sure that we are moving in the right direction. In progressively taking these tips, you will slowly see things transform in front of you. I know I have.
Have a productive week and keep thinking positive.
